Blue Mountain Avionics launched the glass-cockpit revolution that led to aircraft instruments becoming LCD screens instead of steam gauges. It was in books, magazine articles, spots on the Discovery Channel, the History Channel, and the FAA’s Pilot Training Guide.

Blue Mountain Software designed, built, and deployed custom code for customers ranging from IMAX, naBANCO, Netscape, Andersen Consulting and the US Army Corps of Engineers. At its height, BMS employed sixty people and had projects running around the world. Blue Mountain sold in 1988 to a NASDAQ-listed company.
